Denna sida är faktiskt en av mina favoriter och var den som tog mest tid att göra. Det syns kanske inte så bra på bilden, men jag har använt hushållspapper och limmat fast det och målat ovanpå för att få lite textur.

Here is another page from my Art Journal. I really love the Creative Journal from Dylusions and I just bought two more for when this one is all done. 

This page is one of my favorites at the moment. I made the background with Dylusions Spray Inks and some Color Wash sprays. I then took pieces of the paper towel that I used for cleaning and glued it to the page. I added lots of Gesso to it and then went over it with black distress ink. Then I just did some stamping and added the mushrooms before I drew the hills and tree with a black marker.

It'll be Christmas

Idag har jag fotat några av de sidor jag har gjort i min lilla "kladd-bok" som jag har. Har blivit några sidor i den nu. Som sagt påstår jag ju absolut inte att det direkt är några fina sidor som jag gjort, men det spelar egentligen ingen roll heller. Det är faktiskt bara kul att få testa lite olika produkter och tekniker och bara kladda bäst man vill.

Min konstnärstalang stannade ju ungefär på dagisnivå och med tanke på det så kan man ju inte begära så mycket heller.

Have have taken some photos of a few of the pages in my art journal today. As usual the pages can't really be compared to all of the great artists out there, but it really doesn't matter does it.

This page is made with Dylusions Spray Inks and stencils. I also used a white gel pen, distress inks and some stamps from Tim Holtz and Dylusions along with a black marker.

12 weeks

Har visst inte lagt upp bilderna på kattungarna när de var 12 veckor gamla.
De flyttade för lite mer än en vecka sedan nu och de verkar trivas riktigt bra i sina nya hem.

Det har varit fullt upp med jobb någon vecka nu så det har inte blivit så mycket annat gjort.
Nu är det lite lugnare ett tag i alla fall och jag har gjort ett julkort. I år ska jag försöka göra lite mer julkort och skicka ut. Visserligen säger jag så varje år och det blir aldrig gjort, men vi får väl se.

Scrap n' Art Magazine

Blog Hop

I made a card for the Heartfelt Creations Alumni Design Team Blog Hop. The card is made with the Woodland Growth PreCut Stamp Set from Heartfelt Creations, the first stamps I got as a Semi-Finalist for the DT. I don't own the Fence-stamp so I had to use the die-cut without it. But I think it turned out pretty ok anyway. I colored in the images with my Distress Inks. And used some Glossy Accents on the mushrooms.

A random winner will be chosen among those who have commented on any of the blogs in the hop. The winner will receive a $25 gift certificate to shop at Heartfelt Creations. Yay!

Har kladdat lite mer i min Art Journal. Använde lite sprayfärg och vatten mest.

Did another spread in my Dylusions Creative Journal. This time I used some Dylusions Spray Inks and Stencils, some black and white pens and really old die-cuts that I had laying around.

11 weeks

Ja och då var kattungarna 11 veckor gamla och ska flytta efter helgen. Usch vad fort det har gått.
Det känns faktiskt lite jobbigt att de ska flytta. Det brukar inte kännas så, oftast är jag ganska nöjd med att de ska flytta även om man tycker om dem. Men denna gång gör det nästan lite ont. Kanske beror det på att de bara var två och man på något sätt fick ett starkare band till dem, jag vet inte. Ena killen, Hondo, han som är lite ljusare han känns jobbigast att sälja. Han är så otroligt snäll och go och är alltid den som kommer upp i famnen och vill mysa och han är alltid den som kommer upp i sängen på morgonen och kurrar. Jag får vara glada att de har hittat fina och bra hem i allafall och deras nya ägare kan ju inte bli besvikna på dessa underbara pojkar.

Now my kittens are 11 weeks old and they will start leaving me after this weekend. For once it is going to be really hard to see them leave. Hondo, the first kitten on the photos, is my favorite and I am really sad that he is not staying with us. He is so adorable and always wants to cuddle. But atleast I know that they will be going to some great families that will take care of them and love them.

Matförråd

Vi bygger ett litet hus i anslutning till fårhuset för att kunna förvara hö och halm till fåren.

We are building a small house next to the sheep house so we have somewhere to store their food.

Cupcakes

Håller på att baka lite idag. Blev några små plåtar med cupcakes. Har ännu inte haft på glasyren (eller vad det nu heter), men det kommer. Måste ju vänta på att bullarna (?) blir kalla först så att inte glasyren smälter.

I have been making some chocolate cupcakes today. Still haven't added the frosting, but I will do so as soon as they cool down a bit. Don't want the frosting to melt away.

10 weeks

Nu är kattungarna 10 veckor gamla och det är bara två veckor kvar tills de flyttar. Tiden går som sagt riktigt fort. De var dessutom mest omöjliga att fota idag, har börjat bli rätt snabba och vill gärna springa runt bara.

The kittens are now 10 weeks old and they will move to their new homes in just two weeks. Can't believe it has been 10 weeks already. I am not sure I am ready to see them leave.

Fårflytt

Idag har vi haft fullt upp med att flytta både kor och får. Först började vi dagen med att ta in alla kor för vintern, något som gick mycket smidigare än väntat. Sedan hämtade vi hem alla Klövsjöfår. Det funkade otroligt bra att gå efter vägen hem, räcker med en hink med korn så följer de så snällt med. Funderar nästan på om de inte visste var vi skulle för de sprang före nästan hela vägen hem. Sedan städade vi lite i ladugården och gjorde i ordning för Helsingefåren och hämta hem dem också. Även de gick snällt efter kornhinken hela vägen till ladugården.

Vi har också hunnit med att slakta den sista av årets baggar och nu är det bara att ta det lugnt och invänta vårens alla lamningar. Längtar faktiskt redan dit.

Passade på att ta några bilder på Klövsjöfåren innan vi påbörjade vandringen hem. Den bruna är min fina bagge.

We have been busy at the farm today. All of the sheep have been moved to their winter homes and the cows have been brought home as well. All of the sheep were so nice and walked with us all the way home, some of them even ran in front of us most of the way. I guess they are starting to know where they are supposed to be. 

Took some new photos of them before we started walking. The brown one is the ram.

Ramses the cat

Ramses tycker om att leka med sina småbröder även om han ibland inte ritkigt inser hur stor och tung han är.

The poor little fox

Den här stackars räven har besökt mig hela dagen idag. Som synes är den inte helt frisk och jag måste säga att jag tycker riktigt synd om den. Jag vill inte skjuta med studsaren så jag väntar på att Johan ska komma hem från jobbet så att han förhoppningsvis kan skjuta stackarn så att den inte behöver lida mer. Är ju hemskt det där med skabb, inte bara för att räven får plågas och tillslut dör men med massor av djur på gården så är det inte speciellt roligt att ha djur med skabb som springer runt här. Det sista jag vill är ju att hundarna och katterna ska få det också, fy vilket helvete jag skulle få med att försöka bli av med skiten då.

This poor little fox is suffering from mange and has been sneaking around our house all day. The fox is too far away for me to shoot him and I don't want to use the big hunting rifle. My fiancé isn't home yet and it will be pitch black outside by the time he gets here, but hopefully the poor fox will be back tomorrow so he can put him out. Mange is such a horrible thing and not only do I feel for the wild animals who suffer from it and dies a painful death, I am a bit concerned and worried that all of our animals will catch it. It would be hell to get rid of it with all the animals we have. 

9 veckor

Nu är kattungarna 9 veckor gamla och jag är fortfarande förundrad över hu snabbt tiden går.
Bara 3 veckor kvar nu sen flyttar de till sina nya hem.

Perfect

Har varit lite rastlös idag och har inte haft så mycket att göra. Det har varit så blåsigt ute att det inte varit någon mening att ens försöka gå ut så jag har bara varit inne idag. Hade inte så mycket att göra så jag passade på att dra fram akrylfärgerna ur någon låda på golvet och satte igång att kladda lite. Nedan ser ni resultatet...

Being inside all day has made me a bit restless and since there is a storm outside there is no point in trying to do anything outdoors today. So I decides to pull out my acrylic paints and started painting in my Art Journal. I know I said I would wait until I got all my new Spray Inks and such, but I guess I just couldn't keep my hand off that book. 

The text is in Swedish and says something like: "You do know that you are perfect just the way you are, right?"

Storm

Det är kallt ute och stormar rejält. Hela huset vibrerar och det känns nästan som att det snart ska blåsa bort. Är ganska mysigt att få krypa er under en filt i soffan en sådan här dag och bara ta det lugnt.
Har varit sjuk i över en vecka nu och är fortfarande inte bra. Förstår inte varför förkylningar ska hålla i sig så länge. Jag tycker det är dags att bli frisk nu, orkar inte vara sjuk längre.

It's cold outside and there is some really stormy weather. Feels like the whole house is shaking and the sound of the wind blowing is really loud. Days like this I just like to have a cup of tea and sit in front of the TV with a warm blanket and just take it easy. Especially when I have a cold aswell. I have been ill for over a week now and it still won't go away. I hate being ill and I think it time for this cold to move out of this house.

Fly Butterfly, Fly

Här är en till liten kladd i boken. Försökte testa hur bra mina Distress Markers var på att blanda sig med varandra om jag målade direkt på papperet och sedan sprayade med vatten. Som synes var de inte så där jättebra utan det blev mest streck och ojämna färger. Att det blev nått som kan liknas vid en fjäril beror mest på att jag efter att jag målat slog ihop boken och överförde färgen från ena sidan till den andra. Då blir det ju ofta lite fjärilslika bilder.

Som om jag inte hade tillräckligt med grejer hemma att pyssla med så är lite nya färg-sprayer på väg hem hit nu. Ska bli spännande att använda dem i boken till nästa gång. Får se hur det går.

Another messy page in my Art Journal. This time I wanted to try out the blending ability of my Distress Markers. I just drew with different colors and then I sprayed it with water. And as you can see, they didn't blend very well. So now I know how not to use the markers.
The reason for the butterfly shape is I just transfered the colors from one side to the other by closing the book. And you often get butterfly like images that way. 

And as if I didn't have enough supplies already, a whole bunch of ink sprays are now on the way here. So for the next page in this journal I'll try out some Dylusions Ink Spray and Color Wash. I look forward to trying those out.

Art Journal

Jag har precis öppnat min nyköpta Art Journal from Dylusions. Den är verkligen av bra kvalitet och nog känns det lite jobbigt att öppna den och börja kladda i den. Det mesta kladd jag gör i mina Art Journals blir bara kaos och inte alls snyggt. Man önskar ju att man skulle kunna bläddra igenom böckerna i efterhand och känna att man varit ritkigt konstnärlig och duktig, men nja det blir inte riktigt så. Men jag måste försöka inse att det inte spelar någon roll. Jag har min Art Journal av den enka anledningen att jag ska ha någonstans att kladda och någonstans att testa olika saker och någonstans att bara göra vad jag vill utan krav. Men som sagt så svider det lite i hjärtat ändå när man förstör en sån fin blank bok med en massa fula saker.

I have just started my new Art Journal from Dylusions. This book is of really good quality and I really like it. It is almost painful to start using it since I know that will ruins its perfect and clean look. I wish I was able to make art that was beautiful and not some random mess that looks awful. I want to be able to flip through my journal and feel inspired and happy about the stuff I made there. But I cant really do things better than I do and I will always look at other peoples stuff and feel like I am not good enough. So I just decided that it doesn't matter that my book look like a mess. It is my book and I will use it to try new things and just do what ever I want. And if it turns out to be a mess, who really cares?

Anyway, this is the first ugly page in my new book. At first I was happy with the way it turned out and then I just started adding colors and messing the whole thing up and then it just ended up like this. Not to worry though, there are more pages in the book and then I can always by a new book, right?

Washing wool

I helgen har jag hållit på och tvätta en massa ull som vi klippte för några veckor sedan.
Har inte klippt alla fåren ännu, men ska ta tag i resten så fort jag har tagit hem dem till vinterhuset.

Hittade lite fina lockar att spara och använda som skägg till tomtarna jag ska tova.

My mom and I (well mostly my mom) shared some of my sheep a few weeks ago and now I have been busy washing the wool all weekend. I still have a lot of sheep left to shear, but I will take care of that as soon as I take the sheep back home to their winter home.

I also found some cute locks that I will save and use for my wool felted Santa's beard.

The weather is changing

Kollade på lite bilder från tidigare år och hittade denna som är tagen för 2 år sedan.
Här var hönsen ute och det är uppenbarligen barmark och inte alls så kallt och jäkligt som nu.
Nu är det runt 10 grader kallt och helt vitt ute med ca 10 cm snö och hönsen har vägrat gå ut sedan länge. Skitväder!

Hade varit kul att visa med en bild från idag, men nu är det för mörkt för att fota. Kanske nått att fixa i morgon. Är ju faktiskt ganska kul att kunna gå tillbaka och se skillnaderna från år till år.

Jag hade ju för mig att det var jättekallt för två år sedan och varmt i fjol den här tiden, men tänk så fel man kan ha.

Found this image today while going through some old stuff. This one is taken two years ago on this day and apparently my chickens were still outside. There is snow and it seems like it is fairly warm. Not like this year with cold weather and about 10 cm of snow and my chickens haven't been out in weeks. They refuse to go outside if  there is snow on the ground. 

Wish I had a photo of today to show you, but maybe that's a mission for tomorrow. Just realized that it is kind of fun to see the difference from year to year. 

Last day of Hearfelt Creations

Idag är det sista gången mina alster kommer att synas på Heartfelt Creations sida.
Tyvärr gick jag inte vidare till nästa omgång utan var en av de 7 medlemmar som fick lämna gruppen. 10 stycken nya har kommit till och 10 stycken av oss "gamla" fick stanna. Att jag inte var en av dem var väntat, men inte desto mindre tråkigt för det. Jag får istället välkomna de nya medlemmarna och tacka för alla underbara produkter jag fått och de härliga 6 månaderna med företaget.

Today is the last time I'll post for Heartfelt Creations. I wasn't one of of the ten members who got to stay, instead I was one of the seven that had to leave. It was expected, but still a bit sad. But I am so happy for the time I had with the company and I want to send a bit thank you to Heartfelt Creations for all the wonderful products I have received these past 6 months. I also want to congratulate all the members who are staying on the team and welcome all of the new ladies. 

Here is the final card I made

Products Used:
HCPC 3504 Bold Vintage Floret Background PreCut Set
354803 Scallop Oval Large
354802 Classic Oval Lg
Cardstock, Adirondack Pitch Black, Black Marker, Black Soot Distress Stickles

Project Instructions:


Cut a piece of light cream cardstock to about 8-1/4" wide and 5" tall, fold in half to make the card base. 


Cut an oval hole in the card front with the oval spellbinders die.

Cut a piece of the same cardstock and cut a hole with the scalloped oval die ans line it up with the hole in the card base. Trim the edges. Make sure to take a slightly larger scalloped oval die so you can make a frame. 

Cut a piece of transparency and adhere to the back of the card front. I used some old packaging. 

Cut a small oval frame and adhere on top of the transparency to hide the glue on the inside. 

Stamp the background image on the inside of the card in black ink. Make sure to place it so that it can be seen through the transparency. 

Stamp half the sentiment on the inside of the card and half on the front. 

Draw some faux stitching lines around the front of the card. 

Finally add some black stickles to the flower on the inside. 

 Let it dry and the card is finished!

Let it snow even more

Eftersom jag skrev ut alla bilderna från Uniko Studios Super FREE Saturday så hade jag ju en uppsättning foton kvar som jag inte hade gjort något med. Jag gjrode en liten chansning och använda glitterlim och glossy accent på julkulan denna gång. Ville få en lite med glansig 3D effekt.
Gick väl sisådär, men jag är ganska nöjd med resultatet ändå.

Since I printed all of the images from the Super FREE Saturday Kit from Uniko Studio I had a few left over from my last card. So i decided to try something new and I used stickles and glossy accent to the ornament. I wanted a shiny 3D effect and even though it may not have gone as well as I would have wanted I am still happy with the result.

8 weeks

Kattungarna är nu 8 veckor och börjar bli ena riktiga vilddjur.
De springer runt och de leker och sladdar över golvet i köket.
De slänger i sig mat och däremellan sover de som om de vore knockade.

More snow

Det snöar ute och börjar bli riktigt kallt.
Här var det -10 grader i morse, men inte långt härifrån fanns det stackare som hade ända ner till -22 grader. Usch säger jag bara. Jag vill ju inte ha så kallt. Lite kallt och lite snö så att man kan åka skidor med hundarna vore ok, men jag gillar inte kylan.

Har gjort ytterligare ett kort med det digitala setet från Uniko Studio. Denna gång skrev jag ut bilderna på skrivaren och gjorde ett "riktigt kort". Kortet text lämpar sig ju ganska bra med tanke på snön som faller utanför fönstret i alla fall.

Har en del julkort jag måste göra också, men jag lyckas inte så bra med det. Jag vet inte vad det är med julkorten som gör att det tar stopp. Det finns ingen inspiration överhuvudtaget och de kort jag gjort har jag fått kasta då de sett rent ut sagt fördjävliga ut. Menmen, jag ska sätta mig ner i veckan och verkligen göra ett gäng så kanske det lossnar.

I have been trying to make some Christmas cards as well lately, but things are not going to well. I don't know what it is, but I just can't seem to find the inspiration. I'll try again this week and this time I will finish the cards and they are going to be great! :)

There is a.... card

Nu är det dags för ett DT kort för Heartfelt Creations igen. 
Nu är det näst sista kortet på min DT-period. Känns lite tråkigt.

Denna gång gjorde jag ett kort som är lite utanför vad jag normalt sett brukar göra.
Har använd papper från Vintage Floret kollektionen och svart cardstock.

Time for a DT card for Heartfelt Creations again.
This time I made a card that is a little bit out of the ordinary for me.
I used the beautiful papers from the Vintage Floret Collection and some black cardstock.

HCPC 3502 Mini Vintage Floret PreCut Set
HCPC 3500 Open Vintage Floret PreCut Set
HCD 727 Vintage Floret Die
HCDP1 227 Vintage Floret Paper Collection
Cardstock, Copic Markers, Adirondack Pitch Black, Black Marker, Glossy Accents
 
Project Instructions:
Cut a piece of light cream cardstock to about 8-1/4" wide and 5" tall, fold in half to make the card base. Cut a piece of patterned paper to 5-1/2" x 3-3/4" and draw a black line around them with a black marker. Then mat it with black cardstock. Cut a piece of patterned paper to 2-3/4" x 4-1/2" and draw a black line around them with a black marker. Then mat it with black cardstock. Cut out the sentiment from one of the papers in the paper pack, draw a black line around it and put in on black cardstock. Adhere the pieces to the card base. Stamp the flowers and leaves on white paper and color them with copic markers. Cut out the images with the coordinating dies and glue them together to make flowers. Add some glossy accents to the flower centers and fold in the leaves to make a bud. Adhere the flower to the card. Finally draw a black line around the edge of the card.

Crazy woodpecker

Denna dumma hackspett har fått för sig att vort hus smakar gott. Så nu sitter han där på fasaden och pickar febrilt och gör hål på hål. Inte snällt.

Städa hela dagen

Idag har jag städat precis hela dagen känns det som. Klev upp 06:30 i morse och satte igång att städa i skafferiet. Något som verkligen var nödvändigt och borde ha varit gjort för länge länge sedan. Det såg rent ut sagt fördjävligt ut därinne. Efter 6 timmar så var jag i alla fall klar och även om det kanske fortfarande finns mycket att önska så är jag nöjd med resultatet. Nu gäller det väl bara att försöka hålla det städat också.

I have been up all day cleaning and re-organizing my pantry. Something that was more than necessary. After 6 hours of cleaning I am finally done and even though it may not be the most organized pantry out there I am more than happy with the result.

Making Cat food

Nu maler vi kött och hjärta och allt sånt till katterna så att de ska ha nått att äta i vinter.

Milk thief

Ramses stjäl mjölk och verkar inte fatta att han är för gammal. Det verkar å andra sidan inte hans mor göra heller, hon tar hand om honom som om han vore 6 veckor gammal.

There is an intruder stealing milk from the bar. Ramses, the stupid cat doesn't realize he is too old for such silliness. Neither does his mother though. She is taking care of him like he would be 6 weeks old.

Here is this weeks card that I made with products from Heartfelt Creations. I Have now made two cards this month and I have two more to go. I really wish I could continue on as a DT member at Heartfelt Creations. The customers of Heartfelt Creations have been voting for their favorite members and those with the most votes will continue on the team. Obviously I am hoping I am one of them, but with so many talented ladies on the team my chances are slim. But nonetheless I have had a great 6 months on the team and I have been able to work with so many wonderful products. I am glad I got the chance to be part of the team for this long. And for now I am still crossing my fingers and hoping for the best.

Cardstock, Copic Markers, Adirondack Jet Black, Glossy Accents, Black Marker

Project Instructions:
Cut a piece of white cardstock to about 8-1/4" wide and 5" tall, fold in half to make the card base. Cut a piece of patterned paper slightly smaller and adhere to the card base. Stamp the flowers and leaves on white paper and color them with copic markers. Cut out the images with the coordinating dies and glue them together to make flowers. Add some glossy accents to the flower centers and sprinkle some glitter on top. Let it dry and tap of the excess. Cut a piece of white cardstock to 3-3/4" x 4-1/4" and stamp part of the sentiment. Then cut a piece of the same cardstock to 3-3/4" x 1-1/4" and stamp the rest of the sentiment. Draw some faux stitching lines around the pieces and adhere them to the card base. Adhere the flowers and leaves to the cars and bend the petals and leaves to make them more realistic

6 weeks & still growing

Nu är kattungarna 6 veckor gamla. De växer verkligen i raketfart. Hanbal, den större av de två, vägde 1300g i söndags. Vilket jag tycker är ganska mycket. Normalt brukar mina kattungar ligga på ca 700-900g vid den åldern. Nu har ju Hanbal en mage som heter duga också så han verkar tycka om att äta :)

My kittens are now 6 weeks old and they are two big boys who loves to play and eat. They are now running around in our house and exploring every little corner of every room.

Min sambo överraskade mig med att fria igår under älgjakten. Jag sa såklart ja, så nu blir det bröllop till sommaren
