For your Birthday

I am feeling a little bit better today and while I still have some energy I took the time to make a fast and simple card. I did this card using the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch even though the challenge has already ended. I just fell in love with the sketch and when I just didn't have the energy to come up with something on my own today. This card is very fast and easy to make and I just used two colors of cardstock and a stamp and some dies.

Something sweet

Ok so I know I haven't been posting anything for a while now, but I do have a few reasons for that. First up I have been, and still am, a bit sick and this is not the most fun. Especially now when we are having the warmest weather in ages here in the north of Sweden. I don't think it has even been this hot for this long during my lifetime and we are truly melting away in our home. I wouldn't normally complain about the heat, but with a fever and a headache from hell the extreme heat isn't really what I need.

But enough complaining and on to some more fun stuff. I have been busty staring in to the kitten nursery these last few weeks. Three weeks ago one of my cats gave birth to 5 adorable little boys and I'll share some photos of them here today. And if this wasn't enough my other female gave birth to 7 (!) kittens two days ago as well. I never would have imagined that she was carrying that many, but they just kept popping out. Everything is going well, but I am kind of dreading the day when they all start running around the house. Going to be some fun times :)

Thank You

Today there is a new challenge over at Uniko Studio and this time the theme is Anything Goes. I decided to do a card using the Graphic Flowers Die Set.

I have made some ink splatter in the background and then added a few stamped circles and hearts to really enhance the "splattery" feel. I then diecut the flowers from some orange and turquoise cardstock from Bazzil and stamped them with the matching stamp set. I used Distress Inks to stamp this, but you could probably also stamp it in clear embossing ink and get the same effect.

I used a few different Washi Tape from My Mind's Eye and I added two of them to white cardstock and trimmed them out to get them a bit thicker and also have them opaque. I love how versatile Washi Tape are and you can really use it for almost anything.

I also stamped a sentiment on the inside of the card and I really like the way the inside turned out and the color combination of it. So I'll probably make a really simple CAS card that looks just like the inside of this card someday.

Don't forget to join this challenge for the chance to win some amazing prizes. This time the prizes are a £20 Gift Certificate to the Winner and Guest Design Team spot on the blog for the next challenge. And alsoTop Three Spotlight and £5 Gift Certificate. So upload your card on the Uniko Studio Blog before August 14th 09:00 UK time, and you have a chance to win.

I also filmed a tutorial for this card that you can find on my YouTube Channel or here below.

I Love You

Todays card is a really fast and easy card that I made using only a few products. I embossed a piece of white cardstock using an embossing folder from Tim Holtz and I then sprayed it with a pink Dylusions Spray Ink. After that I diecut the word love out of the embossed piece and adhered it to a back cardbase. Very simple and easy, but I like the way the pink and black look together.

Hope you like it too and if you want to know what supplies I used I have included a complete supply list with links below.
