Lace & Heart Challenge #154

Today is Tuesday again and I am a bit late with my card for this weeks challenge over at SweetStamps.com. I have had a busy few days since my cat gave birth to her kittens and everything didn't go as planned.

This week the theme is Lace and Heart and I did my best to match that theme with my card this week. I did struggle a lot to fit my only heart stamp on the card and eventually I decided to leave it. Do I did a lace and heart card without the heart today.

And as usual you can join the fun and win some great prizes. Make sure to visit the SweetStamps blog for more information and the complete Challenge Rules.

Wishing you the happiest of days

As a second post today I though I would show you a card I made a few days ago for the monthly project theme over at Whiff of Joy. The theme this month was Valentine Tag and at first I totally forgot about the whole tag thing and made a valentine themed card. I did realize my mistake in time though and made a tag instead (that's the tag I showed you earlier today so scroll down and you'll see it). But I still have this card I made and the video I filmed while doing the card so why not show it here on the blog anyway.

This card is a very easy and simple card using just a few products. I had some great patterned papers and didn't really feel the need to over embellish this card. I just used a sentiment stamp, dies and pattered paper. I hope you like it.

WoJ Monthly Project Theme - Valentine Tag

The Design Team at Whiff of Joy have a project theme each month and a few members from the theme create a project with that specific theme. This time I am creating a project using this months theme. And the theme this month is Valentine Tag. For more information check out the Whiff of Joy Blog.

So what I did was to create a tag with a bit of a different Valentine feeling. I was a bit tired of all the red colors since I have made a lot of Christmas cards and such, so I ended up using blue and craft instead. Hope you like it.

Catching up on PJ

-----------------

Last year I started doing Project Life so I could document my life in a more fast and simple way. The whole scrapbooking thing really overwhelmed me and I could never seem to finish a page. So Project Life is really more my style. I will still make the occasional scrapbook page and have that as an insert in my album, but I do not feel the need to do a lot of pages anymore.

Usually the whole idea is to make a spread for each week of the year, but our life isn't very eventful and we don't have any children so unless I want to document what I eat everyday and have the same "I sat by the computer"-image for each week I need to do some changes. So what I decided to do was to make about a spread or two for each month. We take photos of the things we feel like we want to document and then I print them all and if it ends up being two spreads or four doesn't really matter. My albums will be very thin and a bit boring at times, but I don't really care.

I am still way behind on this whole thing though and I am just about finished with February 2013. I am trying my best to catch up now and I'll hopefully be able to make a month everyday until I am caught up.

Here's a photo of my work in progress. This month ended up having two spreads and I was exclusively using the Becky Higgin's Kraft Core Kit.

Anything Goes Challenge

Today is Tuesday again and time for a challenge over at SweetStamps.com. This week the theme is Anything Goes and I have made a card using the negatives of a medallion die and some pearls. Easy and very clean. Hope you like it.

And as usual you can join the fun and win some great prizes. Make sure to visit the SweetStamps blog for more information and the complete Challenge Rules.
