TIME OUT Challenge

After a very long and well needed holiday I am finally back again with a new project for you. This month the Design Team over at Uniko Studio is sponsoring the TIME OUT Challenge. Uniko Studio is not only sponsoring this challenge but all us in the Design Team are joining in with the challenge as well.

The card I made for this challenge is a very clean and simple card featuring some nice stamps from Uniko Studio.

The prizes for this challenge are two £15 gift vouchers to spend in the Uniko Studio Store.

You can win these by entering the challenge at TIME OUT Challenges. You can use any stamps but we love to see Uniko stamps of course. We will also draw a random winner from the comments on the blog post over at Uniko Studio Blog, so make sure to head over there and comment for a chance to win.

For this challenge we are using this photo as inspiration.

Technique Thursday #1 - Masking

I am back today with a new series called Technique Thursday. I'll try to make a new project and a new tutorial video every Thursday from now on. And this week I am starting of with some masking. And I am masking of part of my card front to make a diagonal line from one corner to the other. And I am using the lines on my grid mat to line the tape up so that I get an even and straight line across my card, it is very fast and easy to do.

This card i also part of the new monthly challenge together with Uniko Studio. We love to have all of you join us in this challenge and share your Uniko Studio creations with us. And if you join in on the fun there are some amazing prizes up for grabs this time. How about a £20 Gift Certificate to the Winner & a Guest Design Team spot on the blog for the next challenge? And also a Top Three Spotlight & £5 Gift Certificate.

For this challenge I made this really clean and simple one layer card and I used the chrysanthemum stamp and three colors of distress ink. I saw a sketch somewhere on Pinterest a while back that inspired me to do this card and I am really pleased with the outcome.

For the Challenge this month we are having a "Clean & Simple" theme and we are combining that with a fun colour pallet. And this months colour inspiration contains some fabulous colors that I really love. It feels a bit like autumn and the colors are nice and warm. I hope you feel as inspired and I do and I can't wait to see your take on these colors.

For complete challenge rules and to access the linkup, please visit the Uniko Studio Blog. We can't wait to see your creations. Come and play along!

I also filmed a tutorial for this card that you can find on my YouTube channel or here below.

For your Birthday

I am feeling a little bit better today and while I still have some energy I took the time to make a fast and simple card. I did this card using the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch even though the challenge has already ended. I just fell in love with the sketch and when I just didn't have the energy to come up with something on my own today. This card is very fast and easy to make and I just used two colors of cardstock and a stamp and some dies.

Thank You

Today there is a new challenge over at Uniko Studio and this time the theme is Anything Goes. I decided to do a card using the Graphic Flowers Die Set.

I have made some ink splatter in the background and then added a few stamped circles and hearts to really enhance the "splattery" feel. I then diecut the flowers from some orange and turquoise cardstock from Bazzil and stamped them with the matching stamp set. I used Distress Inks to stamp this, but you could probably also stamp it in clear embossing ink and get the same effect.

I used a few different Washi Tape from My Mind's Eye and I added two of them to white cardstock and trimmed them out to get them a bit thicker and also have them opaque. I love how versatile Washi Tape are and you can really use it for almost anything.

I also stamped a sentiment on the inside of the card and I really like the way the inside turned out and the color combination of it. So I'll probably make a really simple CAS card that looks just like the inside of this card someday.

Don't forget to join this challenge for the chance to win some amazing prizes. This time the prizes are a £20 Gift Certificate to the Winner and Guest Design Team spot on the blog for the next challenge. And alsoTop Three Spotlight and £5 Gift Certificate. So upload your card on the Uniko Studio Blog before August 14th 09:00 UK time, and you have a chance to win.

I also filmed a tutorial for this card that you can find on my YouTube Channel or here below.
