A welcome to Bev's baby boys

So today we are having a special blog hop for a special lady and her two new baby boys. Beverly, the owner and designer of Uniko Studio, just gave birth to two boys and we wanted to celebrate that in true crafting style. And what better way to to this than by using this amazing baby stamp set designed by Beverly. I really love this set and it is just perfect for an occasion like this.

This card is very simple and all I did was stamp the teddy bear on a piece of white cardstock and then I colored it in using my Copic Markers. I also added some Wink of Stella to give it a bit of a shimmer. Then I did the same thing with the large baby sentiment and adhered all of it to my cardbase. For some extra embellishments I added a few gems and enamel dots and also a few dots of blue stickles.

Using the negative from diecuts - Thanks

I did a super fast card today by using a piece that I had laying in my drawer. This piece got left over when I did a card a long time ago where I stamped and diecut a few letters. I didn't want to throw away the negative since I knew that it would make decent card on its own. So today I used that piece and this card wasn't any harder than just taping the piece onto a card base. It would of course take a little more effort if I wouldn't have premade the piece in the first place, but it is still a very fast and simple card that could easily be made in a hurry.

Happy Birthday - Simple heart window

Today I did a card for my Simple Sunday series, but when I sat down to edit my video I realized that the footage didn't work and the whole thing was just completely useless. So instead of uploading a new video I'll just have to show you my card here on the blog instead.

This card is super simple and could easily be replicated if one would need a lot of cards for something. I die cut a heart shaped window from a white piece of cardstock and then adhered it to a green card base. I also added a green button with some string to add a little bit more detail. I stamped a small sentiment i black ink and this card could be used for any occasion if you would just switch out the sentiment. I chose to stamp a birthday greeting since I always have use for cards like that.

Mixed Media - Live Life - Art Journal Page #5

Today I am finally dine editing the Art Journal video that I filmed a while back. It feels like it just took forever to get this video done. The whole editing did go pretty fast, but I think the hardest part for me is to actually take the time to sit down and start. Being lazy isn't really a good thing.

To make this page I used mostly acrylic paints, but I also added some Distress Stain, Spray Inks and marker to it. It is a bit different for me and I usually don't do "complicated" things like this, but I like to try new styles and experiment in my art journal. That is what the art journal is for anyway, right?
