Uniko Studio Design Team Inspiration

I have a stamp set sitting on my shelf that I love, I just haven't found a way to use it on a card yet. So I challenged myself and decided that today I was going to make a card with that set. The set I am talking about it the lovely Natures Treasures stamp set from Uniko Studio.

I cut my card base to an A6 card, that is a standard size here in Sweden, I guess even in Europe (?). An A6 card is about 4 1/8" x 5 3/4". I used my Distress Ink from Tim Holtz and a few foam applicators and stared adding colors directly to the card base. I then tried to make something of a landscape. I should probably have looked up what a sky looks like before starting to add my colors though, I realized that the ones I chose probably wasn't the best ones. But to be honest it doesn't really matter.

After I had colored my background I stared stamping with some dark ink. I didn't really plan where to stamp and perhaps I could have done a better job stamping, but as usual I just try and get things done. I am not one of those "perfect" crafters, I make loads of mistakes and I am ok with that. Nobody knows what the finished project was supposed to look like so no one can complain either, right? ;)

For my sentiment I used the word thank you from the All Occasion Sentiments #3 stamp set.

I have also made another short video of me making this card, you'll find the video on the bottom of this post. And I had to cut away my voiceover this time too, maybe next time I'll guide you through my creative process.

Have A Fabulous Day

Today all of us in the Uniko Studio design team are sharing cards for this months blog hop. This month we are revisiting the Flower Power sets. There are 3 sets in the series and I have used two of them in my card. I also used a few stamps from one of the All Occasion Sentiments stamp sets. I still love these stamps. They are so great.

Another new thing I want to share is the fact that I actually made a video this time too. It may not be the best one, but I did what I could. To be honest I did record the entire process with voice and all, but then I was done editing I just couldn't listen to my own voice and I just sounded like a complete idiot. So for now some music will have to do. You'll find the video on the bottom of this post.

ATC Challenge #134

I am a bit late with my post for this week, but I have to blame that on poor Internet connection and bad planning. As usual I am doing things last minute and when my Internet failed yesterday I couldn't post my card. I can't believe I never learn that I should be doing things in time so things like this doesn't happen.

Anyway, this Tuesday it is a different challenge over at SweetStamps.com. The theme is ATC and I chose not to put my ATC on a card. I just left it the way it was. Hope you like it.

As usual you can join the fun and win a $20 shopping spree for goodies at SweetStamps.com's online store. Make sure to visit the SweetStamps blog for more information and the complete Challenge Rules.

Butterfly Challenge #133

I have been busy creating this week and I just love being back home and back in my craft studio. I have a lot of work to do this upcoming week though, but for now I am just taking it easy and doing things I love.

Today it is Tuesday again, and as usual time for another fun challenge from SweetStamps. This time the theme is Butterflies. I have used a great sentiment stamp that can be used for both birthdays and other occasions, and it's the same stamp I used on my last card. This time I masked off parts of it when I was stamping so I could fit the sentiment on a thinner banner. I use my masking tape a lot when crafting and I love to use parts of my stamps and "alter them" without actually having to cut them apart.

As usual you can join the fun and win a $20 shopping spree for goodies at SweetStamps.com's online store. Make sure to visit the SweetStamps blog for more information and the complete Challenge Rules.

Brioni

-----------------

It has been so much with the wedding and all that I totally have forgotten to show you my new kitten. Me and Johan drove 2000 kilometers in total a few days before the wedding to pick up this little guy in the south of Sweden. He is an amazing young man and we love him to bits already. His name is S*GunBertus Brioni, but we call him Brio (or Brie as Johan says).
