The weather is changing

Kollade på lite bilder från tidigare år och hittade denna som är tagen för 2 år sedan.
Här var hönsen ute och det är uppenbarligen barmark och inte alls så kallt och jäkligt som nu.
Nu är det runt 10 grader kallt och helt vitt ute med ca 10 cm snö och hönsen har vägrat gå ut sedan länge. Skitväder!

Hade varit kul att visa med en bild från idag, men nu är det för mörkt för att fota. Kanske nått att fixa i morgon. Är ju faktiskt ganska kul att kunna gå tillbaka och se skillnaderna från år till år.

Jag hade ju för mig att det var jättekallt för två år sedan och varmt i fjol den här tiden, men tänk så fel man kan ha.

Found this image today while going through some old stuff. This one is taken two years ago on this day and apparently my chickens were still outside. There is snow and it seems like it is fairly warm. Not like this year with cold weather and about 10 cm of snow and my chickens haven't been out in weeks. They refuse to go outside if  there is snow on the ground. 

Wish I had a photo of today to show you, but maybe that's a mission for tomorrow. Just realized that it is kind of fun to see the difference from year to year. 

Last day of Hearfelt Creations

Idag är det sista gången mina alster kommer att synas på Heartfelt Creations sida.
Tyvärr gick jag inte vidare till nästa omgång utan var en av de 7 medlemmar som fick lämna gruppen. 10 stycken nya har kommit till och 10 stycken av oss "gamla" fick stanna. Att jag inte var en av dem var väntat, men inte desto mindre tråkigt för det. Jag får istället välkomna de nya medlemmarna och tacka för alla underbara produkter jag fått och de härliga 6 månaderna med företaget.

Today is the last time I'll post for Heartfelt Creations. I wasn't one of of the ten members who got to stay, instead I was one of the seven that had to leave. It was expected, but still a bit sad. But I am so happy for the time I had with the company and I want to send a bit thank you to Heartfelt Creations for all the wonderful products I have received these past 6 months. I also want to congratulate all the members who are staying on the team and welcome all of the new ladies. 

Here is the final card I made

HCPC 3504 Bold Vintage Floret Background PreCut Set
354803 Scallop Oval Large
354802 Classic Oval Lg
Cardstock, Adirondack Pitch Black, Black Marker, Black Soot Distress Stickles

Project Instructions:


Cut a piece of light cream cardstock to about 8-1/4" wide and 5" tall, fold in half to make the card base. 


Cut an oval hole in the card front with the oval spellbinders die.

Cut a piece of the same cardstock and cut a hole with the scalloped oval die ans line it up with the hole in the card base. Trim the edges. Make sure to take a slightly larger scalloped oval die so you can make a frame. 

Cut a piece of transparency and adhere to the back of the card front. I used some old packaging. 

Cut a small oval frame and adhere on top of the transparency to hide the glue on the inside. 

Stamp the background image on the inside of the card in black ink. Make sure to place it so that it can be seen through the transparency. 

Stamp half the sentiment on the inside of the card and half on the front. 

Draw some faux stitching lines around the front of the card. 

Finally add some black stickles to the flower on the inside. 

 Let it dry and the card is finished!

Let it snow even more

Eftersom jag skrev ut alla bilderna från Uniko Studios Super FREE Saturday så hade jag ju en uppsättning foton kvar som jag inte hade gjort något med. Jag gjrode en liten chansning och använda glitterlim och glossy accent på julkulan denna gång. Ville få en lite med glansig 3D effekt.
Gick väl sisådär, men jag är ganska nöjd med resultatet ändå.

Since I printed all of the images from the Super FREE Saturday Kit from Uniko Studio I had a few left over from my last card. So i decided to try something new and I used stickles and glossy accent to the ornament. I wanted a shiny 3D effect and even though it may not have gone as well as I would have wanted I am still happy with the result.

8 weeks

Kattungarna är nu 8 veckor och börjar bli ena riktiga vilddjur.
De springer runt och de leker och sladdar över golvet i köket.
De slänger i sig mat och däremellan sover de som om de vore knockade.

More snow

Det snöar ute och börjar bli riktigt kallt.
Här var det -10 grader i morse, men inte långt härifrån fanns det stackare som hade ända ner till -22 grader. Usch säger jag bara. Jag vill ju inte ha så kallt. Lite kallt och lite snö så att man kan åka skidor med hundarna vore ok, men jag gillar inte kylan.

Har gjort ytterligare ett kort med det digitala setet från Uniko Studio. Denna gång skrev jag ut bilderna på skrivaren och gjorde ett "riktigt kort". Kortet text lämpar sig ju ganska bra med tanke på snön som faller utanför fönstret i alla fall.

Har en del julkort jag måste göra också, men jag lyckas inte så bra med det. Jag vet inte vad det är med julkorten som gör att det tar stopp. Det finns ingen inspiration överhuvudtaget och de kort jag gjort har jag fått kasta då de sett rent ut sagt fördjävliga ut. Menmen, jag ska sätta mig ner i veckan och verkligen göra ett gäng så kanske det lossnar.

I have made another card with the Super FREE Saturday kit from Uniko Studio. This time I printed the papers and images and used them on a "real" card.

I have been trying to make some Christmas cards as well lately, but things are not going to well. I don't know what it is, but I just can't seem to find the inspiration. I'll try again this week and this time I will finish the cards and they are going to be great! :)

There is a.... card

Nu är det dags för ett DT kort för Heartfelt Creations igen. 
Nu är det näst sista kortet på min DT-period. Känns lite tråkigt.

Denna gång gjorde jag ett kort som är lite utanför vad jag normalt sett brukar göra.
Har använd papper från Vintage Floret kollektionen och svart cardstock.

Time for a DT card for Heartfelt Creations again.
This time I made a card that is a little bit out of the ordinary for me.
I used the beautiful papers from the Vintage Floret Collection and some black cardstock.

Cardstock, Copic Markers, Adirondack Pitch Black, Black Marker, Glossy Accents
 
Project Instructions:
Cut a piece of light cream cardstock to about 8-1/4" wide and 5" tall, fold in half to make the card base. Cut a piece of patterned paper to 5-1/2" x 3-3/4" and draw a black line around them with a black marker. Then mat it with black cardstock. Cut a piece of patterned paper to 2-3/4" x 4-1/2" and draw a black line around them with a black marker. Then mat it with black cardstock. Cut out the sentiment from one of the papers in the paper pack, draw a black line around it and put in on black cardstock. Adhere the pieces to the card base. Stamp the flowers and leaves on white paper and color them with copic markers. Cut out the images with the coordinating dies and glue them together to make flowers. Add some glossy accents to the flower centers and fold in the leaves to make a bud. Adhere the flower to the card. Finally draw a black line around the edge of the card.

Crazy woodpecker

Denna dumma hackspett har fått för sig att vort hus smakar gott. Så nu sitter han där på fasaden och pickar febrilt och gör hål på hål. Inte snällt.

Städa hela dagen

Idag har jag städat precis hela dagen känns det som. Klev upp 06:30 i morse och satte igång att städa i skafferiet. Något som verkligen var nödvändigt och borde ha varit gjort för länge länge sedan. Det såg rent ut sagt fördjävligt ut därinne. Efter 6 timmar så var jag i alla fall klar och även om det kanske fortfarande finns mycket att önska så är jag nöjd med resultatet. Nu gäller det väl bara att försöka hålla det städat också.

I have been up all day cleaning and re-organizing my pantry. Something that was more than necessary. After 6 hours of cleaning I am finally done and even though it may not be the most organized pantry out there I am more than happy with the result.

There is an intruder stealing milk from the bar. Ramses, the stupid cat doesn't realize he is too old for such silliness. Neither does his mother though. She is taking care of him like he would be 6 weeks old.

Here is this weeks card that I made with products from Heartfelt Creations. I Have now made two cards this month and I have two more to go. I really wish I could continue on as a DT member at Heartfelt Creations. The customers of Heartfelt Creations have been voting for their favorite members and those with the most votes will continue on the team. Obviously I am hoping I am one of them, but with so many talented ladies on the team my chances are slim. But nonetheless I have had a great 6 months on the team and I have been able to work with so many wonderful products. I am glad I got the chance to be part of the team for this long. And for now I am still crossing my fingers and hoping for the best.

Cardstock, Copic Markers, Adirondack Jet Black, Glossy Accents, Black Marker

Project Instructions:
Cut a piece of white cardstock to about 8-1/4" wide and 5" tall, fold in half to make the card base. Cut a piece of patterned paper slightly smaller and adhere to the card base. Stamp the flowers and leaves on white paper and color them with copic markers. Cut out the images with the coordinating dies and glue them together to make flowers. Add some glossy accents to the flower centers and sprinkle some glitter on top. Let it dry and tap of the excess. Cut a piece of white cardstock to 3-3/4" x 4-1/4" and stamp part of the sentiment. Then cut a piece of the same cardstock to 3-3/4" x 1-1/4" and stamp the rest of the sentiment. Draw some faux stitching lines around the pieces and adhere them to the card base. Adhere the flowers and leaves to the cars and bend the petals and leaves to make them more realistic

6 weeks & still growing

Nu är kattungarna 6 veckor gamla. De växer verkligen i raketfart. Hanbal, den större av de två, vägde 1300g i söndags. Vilket jag tycker är ganska mycket. Normalt brukar mina kattungar ligga på ca 700-900g vid den åldern. Nu har ju Hanbal en mage som heter duga också så han verkar tycka om att äta :)

Other Products: Cardstock, Distress Markers, Black Staz On Ink, Liquid Pearls, Chalk Ink

Project Instructions:
Cut a piece of cream cardstock to about 5" wide and 8-1/4" tall, fold in half to make the card base. Cut a piece of patterned paper slightly smaller and adhere to the card base. Stamp the Floret Bouquet on watercolor paper and color with distress ink. Cut out the image to be slightly smaller than the piece of patterned paper and distress the edges with a scissor and chalk ink. Adhere the piece to the card base. Stamp the Mini and Open Floret images on watercolor paper and color them in with distress markers. Cut them out with the coordinating die and adhere them to the bouquet image and bend the petals towards the center of the flower a bit for a more realistic look. Cut small strip of cardstock and add color to the edges. Mask of part of the sentiment stamp and carefully put stamp ink on the stamp. Remove the mask and stamp the sentiment on the small strip of cardstock. Cut to a good length and adhere it to the card. To finish the card add some liquid pearls to the center of the flowers.

Assar

Här är sista bilden på baggflocken.
Detta är Assar, han är ett Helsingefår och även mitt första egna lamm. Han och hans syster föddes i januari 2011. Assar har lite problem med sina horn och har därför varit på väg till slakt många gånger. Nu har han dock hittat ett nytt hem och en egen flock med damer, så vi har sågat av hans horn några gånger för att förhindra att de växer in i huvudet på honom. Egentligen vill man ju inte avla på djur som har felaktiga horn, men eftersom denna ras är så liten så finns det inte så många bra avelsdjur ännu. Och Assars gener är för viktiga för att tas bort bara på grund av att han har fel på hornen. Avla bort honproblemen kan man börja göra lite längre fram när det finns större antal avelsdjur. Hans horn växer dock bara snabbare och snabbare känns det som och det går snabbare för dem att nå huvudet nu, så jag tror inte att kan kommer att kunna leva så länge till ändå. Men han hinner ju i alla fall med att sprida sina gener vidare i år.

This is Assar, he is a Helsinge Sheep, another rare breed that I have. I just have a few animals of this breed now since I am trying to stick to one breed.

Assar had some problems with his horns and as you can see from this photo we have cut the horns quite a bit. They are growing in to his head and need to be cut to make sure he doesn't suffer. Normally I would not want to keep an animals like this, but genes are too important and he will be moving to a flock of ewes in a few weeks. At least he will be able to spread his genes a bit this year.

Bert

Här är Bert. Han är också ett Klövsjö lamm. Han är minst i gruppen av baggar, men det beror inte på att han är yngst utan för att han är trilling. Han och hans systrar fick ju dela på mjölken och det slapp de andra pojkarna eftersom de var ensamma. Kan ju inte vara lätt att försöka få nått att äta när det bara finns två spenar och man är tre syskon som ska dela.

Bert ska snart få flytta till en egen flock med massa fina damer.

Here is Bert, he is also a Klövsjö ram. He is the smallest in the group of rams and will be moving to a flock of ewes later this month. He was one of three siblings born and thats why he is smaller than the other rams. The others were alone and got a lot of food for themselves.

Bosse

Här är ett foto av Bosse. Han är en Klövsjöbagge som är född i Januari.
Han är äldsta lammet i hagen och är riktigt stor och fin.

This is Bosse, he is the first born Klövsjö lamb. Born i January when it was really cold outside.
He is a large and handsome male that hopefully will get his own flock of ewes later this year.

De är så stiliga de små pojkarna.

5 weeks and growing

Kattungarna är nu 5 veckor gamla och de fortsätter att växa och frodas. Största killen väger över 950g, inte illa. De börjar springa runt massor nu och tycker att kattugnehagen är för liten. De vill gärna utforska hela huset. De är så otroligt söta...

The kittens are now 5 weeks old and they are growing fast. They are exploring every corner of their pen and are now trying to escape and explore the whole house. They are so adorable.

Adezza & Rhianna

Testar fortfarande den nya kameran utan att egentligen försöka ta några direkta superbilder. Leker bara lite mer inställningar och försöker lära mig hur blixten fungerar etc. Har ju aldrig haft en sådan där separat blixt förut (om man bortser från mitt studio-set). Så det är lite trix med att få det att bli som jag vill, men jag testar på. Här är i alla fall bild på Adezza & Rhianna

Super zoom

Har testat mitt teleobjektiv också. Satte mig bara på bron och tog kort på saker så långt bort jag bara kunde. Blev väl kanske inte världens bästa bilder så, men det var kul att testa objektivet i alla fall. Nu kan jag äntligen fota djur och sådant på långt håll igen. Har saknat det jättemycket sen jag var i Namibia. Där hade jag ju en kamera med ett sådant här objektiv och jag fick till en hel massa fina bilder (tycker jag i alla fall ;) )

I have been trying out my new zoom lens as well. I just sat town on the doorstep and took some photos of things around me. I know the photos aren't very good, but I was just trying out the lens. I am so glad to have this kind of lens again. I had one in Namibia and was able to take photos of animals from very far away and I have missed that a lot. Hopefully I'll see some animals here in Sweden too so I can take some good photos.

Ny kamera

Då min gamla kamera inte riktigt vill vara med längre så har jag länge funderat på att köpa en ny.
Nu har jag slagit till och har köpt min en ny kamera. Invigde den såklart med lite bilder på kattungarna.
Är faktiskt otroligt nöjd med kameran.

Since my old camera didn't work so well anymore I have finally bought a new one. 
Of course the first thing I decided to try my camera on was my cute little kittens.
I am really pleased with the way the photos turned out.

Copic coloring

Sitter och försöker få till det här med att färglägga mina stämpelmotiv med markers, något som för mig är helt nytt. Har en ganska stor uppsättning med Copic Markers som jag vill använda mer. Det är dock svårt så här i början att få riktigt bra kläm på det hela, men det kommer säkert med lite mer övning.

På bilden syns också mitt marker-förvaring. Har sorterat dem i gamla kattmatsburkar som såklart är rengjorda. Ska måla dem vita också så småningom.

I am practicing my marker skills. I have a pretty large collection of Copic Markers that I want to start using more often. I am definitely not skilled in coloring, but maybe I'll improve with some more practice. 

On the image below you can also see the way I store my Copics right now. I have cleaned some old cans of cat food. I'll paint them white as soon as I get the time. 

Clearstamp storage

Nu börjar jag bli klar med omflytten av alla mina clearstamps till CD-fodral. Ska väl bara ta och hitta nått bra ställe att förvara alla fodralen på. När jag får till kontoret på övervåningen sen så kommer det ju finnas förvaring till både DVD- och CD-fodralen, men tills dess vet jag inte vad jag ska göra riktigt.

Now I am almost done with rearranging my clearstamps. I have moved them to CD cases and have made a binder with images and numbers so I can easily find the case and stamp I am looking for. Hopefully this way I'll actually start using my stamps. I just need to find somewhere to put all of the cases until I finish the craft room upstairs.

Cut a piece of green cardstock to about 8-1/4" wide and 5" tall, fold in half to make the card base. Cut a piece of the same cardstock slightly smaller and distress the edges with chalk ink in green and brown. Adhere a strip of washi tape to the bottom part of the piece. Stamp the twining asters, 3 delicate asters and the butterfly on watercolor paper and color them in with distress markers. Cut out the twining asters with the ovals die from spellbinders and use the coordinating aster die to cut out the aster flowers. Adhere the flowers to the twining asters image. Use the scalloped ovals die to cut out a scalloped oval ad adhere it to the back of the twining asters image. Adhere it to the piece of green cardstock and add some stickles to the flower center and cut out the butterfly and adhere it to the image. Finally adhere the piece to the card base.

Time to store

Har fått hem en beställning på 100st dvd-fodral utan skivhållare. Ska användas till stämpelsortering.

Håller på att städa på det temporära hemma-kontoret som en tok och försöker få någon slags ordning på allting. Går sådär ska jag väl erkänna, men det är inte så lätt att få till det där man sitter i pannrummet och inte har några direkta möbler som fungerar.

Mitt i alla städning så gjorde jag i alla fall detta kort bara för att hitta på något annat för ett litet tag.

Growing up fast

Hondo och Hanbal växer så fort. Nu är de 4 veckor gamla och börjat sakta men säkert att utforska världen utanför bolådan. Hondo är lite senare än sin bror och har fortfarande inte tagit steget ut, men Hanbal brukar gå runt och vingla på vardagsrumsgolvet.

My kittens, Hondo and Hanbal, is growing up so fast. They are now 4 weeks old and are exploring the world around them. Hanbal is the brave one and Hondo is more of a "momma's boy".
